What Is It I Desire?

photo (7)

“Your heart knows things your mind can not explain” – Unknown

I was asked the other night, what do I want for this life of mine, what is it I desire?

I want to experience ease in all that I do.

  • The more I let go of trying to control the outcomes… the more ease I experience.
  • The more I remember my responsibility is to determine my direction, and then step out of my own way so that the path can unfold as it needs to… the more ease I experience.
  • The more often I remember that what I resist persists and therefore intentionally shift my focus back on to my desire(s) … the more ease I experience.

I want to experience joy in all that I do.

  • The more I stop taking myself so seriously and let go and just laugh… the more joy I experience.
  • The more I remember that “other people’s opinions of me is none of my business” (Wayne Dyer)… the more joy I experience.
  • The more I reduce the activities I feel burdened to do and choose more of the things that bring play into my life… the more joy I experience.

I want to experience inspiration in all that I do.

  • The more I listen, respond and follow my hearts calling… the more inspiration I experience.
  • The more I open myself up to new and different experiences… the more inspiration I experience.
  • The more I let go of my old beliefs and habits… the more inspiration I experience.

I want to experience love in all that I do.

  • The more I quiet the mind and am able to hear the whispers of my soul … the more love I experience.
  • The more I engage and connect with my heart wide open, the richer my experiences are… the more love I experience.
  • The more I wake each day loving and go to sleep each night having loved… the more love I experience.

The more I focus my attention on what I desire…ease, joy, inspiration and love… the more this becomes my experience. I know there is a gap between who I am today and who I want to be. It is in that gap that my desires are born…then created…then practiced. Knowing each day the gap becomes smaller and smaller.
