As I take my first step onto the trail my mind races with excitement… I know whats coming and the anticipation has been building!
With just a couple of steps into the hike, I slow my breathing and I take control over my racing mind. Within seconds my stride matches the pace of my slow deep intentional breaths. My mind quiets and with that:
the sounds of the forest come alive,
the smell and feel of the damp cools air stirs my senses,
the fog dances amongst the trees,
and I relax into this experience…I bath in it…I merge with it… and I become fully, delightfully and joyfully one with nature!
